Summer Solstice Gathering

​Our 2026 Solstice Celebration was a wild success!  Here is a glimpse into our gathering:

• ​Opening Circle with Theresa Harlan of the Alliance for Felix Cove.

• And with with Claire Peaslee, naturalist and improv artist who presented What is Happening Now In Our Home Place in 6 Directions.

• And with Ken Otter & Taira Restar, co-founders of In Place

The gathering featured place-centered activities, including

• Traditional basket making and weaving with Èské Addams and Fibershed

• Tule canoe (toy) making with Theresa Harlan of the Alliance for Felix Cove

• Botanical Ink drawing and Leaf Rubbing with In Place

• Fermented soda and glorious snacks by Wild West Ferments

• Touch Table with West Marin Environmental Action Committee (EAC)

• Wild About Books with Alex Porrata of Marin County Library

• Medicinal plant tea making with Alison Wood of Abalone Apothecary

• Nature photography with Carlos Poratta 

• Closing Circle with Ken Otter and Taira Restar of In Place
